Count on an uproariously good time for kids and parents alike with Lady J. Castle kids can participate in many fun-filled activities such as arts and crafts, pet shell making, fabulous face and body painting, and making a message in a bottle. There are mermaid tales, tales of pirates and lost treasure, and even a hunt for buried treasure! Everyone gets to share in the loot!

The Castle is home to one of the largest pools in Ocean City. Our pool is a 25 meter Olympic-sized pool with a diving board. The pool ranges in depth from three feet to twelve feet accommodating guests of all ages. Certified lifeguards are on duty (in season). Lounge chairs and tables with chairs are available surrounding the perimeter of the pool. Food and beverage service is also provided poolside.

Rent beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards from our convenient location on the beach directly in front of The Castle. Rentals are available on a daily or weekly basis. Castle guests can charge these rentals to their room.

The Castle in the Sand Hotel, an affordable ocean city accommodation, is popular with guests and returning guests with live local entertainment in season. From May 1 until October 26, Coconuts, our open-air, oceanfront beach restaurant, hosts live musical entertainment by popular local musicians. On Coconuts patio you can sit back, relax, enjoy a super-stuffed sandwich fresh off the grill, your favorite frosty frozen drink or a cold beer, and listen to your favorite beach tunes. Our musicians play top 40 as well as many of the “oldies but goodies” that everyone loves to hear. Our 2025 entertainment schedule will be packed with fabulous music so be sure to check the schedule on our Entertainment page, or at the front desk upon your arrival.  Coconuts Beach Bar offers the best happy hour in town.  Happy Hour is daily from 5:00pm to 6:00pm with 2-for-1 drink specials.

The Beach House Restaurant offers convenient dining in a casual setting. In the mornings, a la carte breakfast and a breakfast buffet are served. There is also a breakfast menu just for kids. Here you will find traditional breakfast selections including eggs, pancakes, French toast, waffles, omelettes and more.

Relax with friends and family at Coconuts, our outdoor, open-air, beachfront patio restaurant. Coconuts’ expansive menu includes a large variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, and a menu just for kids! A full bar is also available. Enjoy live entertainment on the patio from May 1 through October 26, 2025.

The Castle in the Sand Hotel is one of the only hotels in Ocean City, MD with food and beverage service on the beach. Keep your feet in the sand and a drink in your hand! Coconuts’ beach waitresses will serve you lunch and drinks on the beach directly in front of the Castle. Look for one of our bikini-clad staff on the beach and order your favorite sandwich and drink without ever having to leave the beach!

Beach service is available Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting.

Back by popular demand! Every Tuesday night is Family Movie Night on Coconuts oceanfront patio! Enjoy free family-friendly movies by Disney, Pixar and more outdoors under the stars with free popcorn and candy. Come early and have dinner at Coconuts, or an ice cream sundae at our ice cream shop, Take A Dip! Afterwards sit back, relax and enjoy the free movie! Movies start at dusk. Family movie nights start on June 17 with the last one on August 19.
