Castle in the SandAbsolutely loved our stay! We had a beachfront room with a balcony. It’s like staying at a resort. There’s a restaurant/bar, Coconuts, that will even serve you while you’re on the beach (food and alcoholic beverages)! Great place to stay with the family right on the beach. Short 2-mile drive to the boardwalk. Also 3 blocks down is Jolly Roger’s Amusement with a water park and go-karts. Definitely returning next year!!!
Ladies weekend at OCMD staying at CITS. This was our 10th anniversary. We love it here. The balcony with ocean view is breathtaking! What a wonderful gesture by the staff as they treated us with a complimentary bottle of wine placed in the bucket of sand (how appropriate!) with fresh flowers to celebrate our 10th year. We love the atmosphere and, of course, Coconuts bar and grill….we couldn’t ask for a better place to stay at OCMD!!
Love this place! So fun and happy. The rooms bring me back to my childhood and the beach bar and cafe area cant be beat with live music and access to the beach . Being right on the beach is a dream.
Castle in the Sand is tops! We have rented a condo in Ocean City for our Sept. family reunions for 8 years, now..and this one is the best! The hotel is expanding, and has taken over many formerly privately owned condos, footsteps from the beach, which means we not only got the benefit of a family space to visit and stay, but amenities like clean towels, bed linens, garbage removal and housekeeping as well! It made a difference to us, having come a 12 hour drive, not to have to make up our own beds, drag our own towels and toiletries along, and spend time cleaning instead of visiting with our seldom-seen relatives. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, clean, and airy. We had a balcony with ocean view, and the huge swimming pool, though cold, was still open, unlike any other place we have stayed! The courtyard restaurant was closed for the season, but being in the heart of town, we were not far from places to eat or have a beverage. We also enjoyed the selection of DVD’s available to borrow, and the beach is clean and lovely. They even had a sand wheelchair we could borrow for our oldest member. The hotel was cute; we did not se the rooms, but it DOES look like a giant sandcastle, with crenelations, turrets, flags and spotlights at night. I hope we stay there again next year. Oh! And it is very close to the Boardwalk!
My husband and I have visited numerous times, and always greatly enjoy Castle in the Sand. We stay in the South Castle, and love the layout of the lovely suites. The staff is always friendly, and go above and beyond to make our stay lovely. Coconuts always has delightful entertainment and delicious food. We will continue to come back for years to come.
This is our 15th year at Castle in the Sand and we just love it! It is perfectly located in town and just steps to the beach. We can’t say enough about this place….it is clean, has nice amenities and a nice clean pool, they have great live music and an outdoor tiki bar. The folks at the desk and the cleaning staff are always very warm and welcoming. We keep coming back and also give gift cards to our family and friends to enjoy our favorite home away from home!
This hotel/Restaurant/Tiki Bar is amazing……the staff are friendly and accommodating and the entertainment is on point. The perfect place for a get away or with a group. I was there with 16 people and the staff did everything they could to make our weekend fabulous………great atmosphere, great food and cocktails…..just the best place! Not only will I be back, but the 16 people I took will be making reservations soon for another visit…..the castle like venue just makes it so fun too!
I visit the Castle in the Sand 3 times a year. Have been doing this for the last 5 years. Each visit is wonderful from check-in to check out. The entire staff is wonderful and can’t do enough for you. I would never again stay anywhere else but the Castle.
This was our second summer there and we were overwhelmed again by how great it is — the staff, the location, the great family friendly movie nights and the scene Oceanside or poolside is very chill. Such warmth is hard to find at hotels these days. Keep up the great work. We love the a Waverly building with the kitchenettes but all the rooms seem nice.
This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel and feel the need to share my wonderful experience. In short, this facility “has it all”. I was very impressed to say the least. The rooms are spotless, the staff is exceptionally helpful, the restaurant food is wonderful. Prices are affordable, there is plenty of onsite parking, the hotel is very family friendly. The very clean beach is right next to the hotel, and, they have a huge pool. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in OCMD.
This was our first time to Ocean City beach and we couldn’t have picked a better hotel. The room was clean and the view was breathtaking. Every staff member I met was cheerful and ready to help with anything I needed. The hotel is in a convenient location and parking is a plus. Having Coconuts next door was a plus and the music set off the week. We had a fantastic getaway and will definitely be back. Thanks to all staff for a great job.
We stayed her Labor Day weekend and were once again very satisfied with our stay!!! My Husband and I always choose to stay here as a first choice because the room(Waverly Oceanfront) is perfect. It has a small kitchenette with pots/pans/plates etc for when you wanna fix a meal in the room. Coconuts Bar and Grill is excellent for lunch out, its located on the property. Coconut crushes are my fave! We cant say enough about this place, ALWAYS a great time! We love it. Great for families!!
We rented a beach apartment for the car cruise weekend. It was located about 100 yards from the ocean and well worth the cost. It came with it’s own parking spot too which was helpful as Castle In The Sand was sold out. The hotel staff was pleasant and professional and the 2 bedroom apartment was large, clean and very well equipped. We stopped several times at the onsite beachfront club called Coconuts. Live band on Sunday was great. Seacrets is only 10 blocks away. Boardwalk is about a 10 minute drive.
Rooms were very clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. All you can eat breakfast offers everything you want for breakfast. They also offer food/beverage service on the beach and at the pool. Activities are planned for children as well. Thank you for a wonderful vacation, Castle.
My husband and I stayed for 2 nights our wedding week and we are so pleased and happy to have experienced such kind and friendly service. The staff at The castle were so helpful, so friendly, and accommodating! The rooms were clean and fresh we will definitely be choosing Castle in the Sand as our home away from home. great place people and music; been going there for years, Staff treats you like family. Good food and drinks. A unique setting, all amenities you could want. Convenient beach setting. Love tables off to the side you can use.Just great. Unique happy hour and waitress service on the beach
The staff were very friendly and the hotel was very safety conscience in the midst of the pandemic. Our room was clean and the view from the oceanfront side was breathtaking! Coconut’s was a pleasant surprise and maintained an island vibe with the live music and fresh drinks. We will definitely be staying there again!
After much research, I finally decided to stay at “Castles in the Sand”. I’m so happy I did. It’s not just a hotel, it’s a resort! It’s great for kids (mine are 8 & 10) and adults as well. The entertainment for the children is excellent, and I must say the hotel staff is very friendly. I love that everyone is kind and approachable. My stay was amazing. Thank you.
Check-in was very easy and fast. The gentleman that checked us in was very pleasant. Our room was spacious and the layout was perfect, we could sit and listen to the nightly entertainment. The staff did a fantastic job of keeping our room clean. The location of the hotel was by far the best on the island. Everything was with-in walking distance from the hotel. The staff was always pleasant and a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely return to this hotel next summer. Don’t hesitate to book a vacation here!!!
Super clean, great location, unbelievable activities for ALL ages!!!!! Im booking already for next year!!!!! Great friendly staff! Close to the boardwalk! We had our own entrance to the beach and rentals were cheap and convenient
